We released version 4.2.4 of "PSOFT Pencil+ 4 for Maya", our non-photorealistic rendering plugin which can reproduce the appearance of animation cels in 3D graphics.
This update adds support for Maya 2026 and includes bug fixes. The update is free for registered users of this product.

- Clicking a line or render element in the Pencil+ 4 Line Window's list now also selects the corresponding node.

- When using the Japanese version of Windows with UTF-8 mode, the menu is now displayed in English.
- When outputting to PLD and there are duplicated PencilLine node names, if a namespace is set to a node, the namespace will be included in the name of the output file.
- Display a warning when rendering with the Pencil+ 4 Line Renderer if the file output folder does not exist.
- Perform mesh access using a single thread.
- Fixed a problem where the material opacity changed when rendering without a license.
- Fixed a problem where batch rendering could stop in Maya 2025 if a map path contained non-ASCII characters.
- Fixed a problem where Selected Edges were not being drawn in some cases.
- In the Curve UI, curves are now correctly inverted when 2 points have the same X coordinate.
- Removed an old workaround for an error caused by Mental Ray.
- Fixed minor problems related to the attribute editor display.
