The English version of PSOFT Pencil+ 3, our non-photorealistic plug-in for 3ds Max which produces pencil sketch-like strokes has just been released.
The development of Pencil+ 3 was based on feedback from various production sites, especially film production companies, and emphasis was put on providing ways to optimize work and improve productivity.
What's New in Pencil+ 3
Improvements were made to the core of the material and line computations, making it possible to implement render element output with a high level of freedom while preserving the high rendering speed of materials and lines.
Furthermore, the addition of the Modifier features enables advanced perspective control; a previously difficult task in 3DCGs. This feature makes it possible to modify the lens according to the distance to the camera or to move vanishing points arbitrarily.
