PSOFT anti-aliasing for Adobe After Effects is an effect plugin for Adobe After Effects that smooths the outlines and colors of images (anti-aliasing), an essential process in the digital animation workflow. It produces smooth and natural looking images by suppressing jaggies. Its distinguishing features are its high quality anti-aliasing processing and its easily adjustable parameters.
Operation Introduction Video
This video demonstrates the use of the plugin in Adobe After Effects (please expand it when watching it). You can see how the plugin performs high-speed anti-aliasing processing of color and opacity.
Interface
color threshold
Value defining the difference in color required for neighboring pixels to be treated as having different colors. A lower value will cause the software to respond to smaller differences in color. Using a bigger value is recommended when handling images containing gradation or noise.
softness
Adjusts the strength of the processing. Increase the value for an increased level of jaggies suppression. Lower the value to obtain a sharper image.
bias
Adjusts the processing of the contrast in gradation parts. Using a value other than 0 results in a slight degradation of the processing speed.
color key enable
Switches color key processing (making pixels of the specified color transparent) on/off.
key color
Specifies the key color for color key processing.
key color threshold
Specifies the maximum difference allowed when comparing a pixel's color to the key color.
invert
When not checked, pixels that match the key color are made transparent.
When checked, pixels that don't match the key color are made transparent.
